Greensburg-Art Todd, 82, died on September 20, 2018 in Kinsley, Kansas. He was born northwest of Haviland, Kansas, on February 28, 1936. He was the son of Henry “Hank” and Georgia (Stewart) Todd. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen (Melton) Todd; two children, Brian (Darice) Todd of Kirksville, Missouri, and Christy (Michael) Todd Cooper of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Trent (Megan) Todd, Chelsie (Joe Deneault) Todd, and Jacob (Lynaya) Cooper; one great-grandchild, Elena Deneault; and one brother, Henry Dale Todd of Emporia, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Alan Todd; one brother, Billie Todd; and two sisters, Marcille Massey and Leann Fark. Soon after his birth, the Todd family moved to Greensburg, Kansas, where he resided for the remainder of his life. After graduating from Greensburg High School, Art served two years in the US Army, then worked at the Greensburg Co-op, Williams Company natural gas compressor station, Kansas Department of Transportation, and raised their prized shorthorn cattle on his much-loved farm in the Sandhills. His hobbies included gardening, hunting and fishing, camping, arrowhead hunting, playing pitch, and drinking coffee with his friends. Funeral Services and celebration of Art’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 25, 2018 at the Kiowa County Community Building, Greensburg, Kansas. Viewing will be from Noon to service time. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
