Greensburg- Beverly Ann Seyfert, 82, passed away March 9, 2024, in Pratt, Kansas. She was born February 13, 1942, to Virgil and Lois Koehn. Bev graduated from Greensburg High School in 1960. She attended Kansas State University, and Fort Hays State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. Bev married Charley Seyfert August 18, 1972. They owned and ran The Sewing Center in Arkansas City and Wichita, Kansas for 35+ years. Bev’s passion was teaching customers to sew and how to use a sewing machine, as well as making sewing machine repairs for customers. She loved helping people learn how to sew and quilt. Bev sold the store in 2020, moved to Greensburg and later to Pratt. Bev is survived by a son Kevin Seyfert (Jennifer), two sisters Shirley Unruh (Paul) and Norma LaJudice, and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Virgil (2006) and Lois (2009), husband Charley Seyfert (2017), and brother Harry Koehn (2021). Memorial services and celebration of Bev’s life will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Greensburg Mennonite Church with Mark Dirks presiding. Inurnment following in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the GHS/KCHS Alumni Association for Scholarships, or the Kiowa County 4-H Club, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.
