Carolyn Ann (Wooten) Kruse died September 17, 2018, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born June 21, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. “Ann” as she was known by her family, was a very shy and quiet child who enjoyed helping her mom in the kitchen. She became “famous” among close family members for her peanut butter fudge which she made for special occasions. Ann, her sister Elaine and her cousins Eva Brightup and Joyce Newby, grew up together and remained lifelong friends. She really enjoyed the “Cousin Trips” taken the last few years of her life. On July 1, 1963 Ann married William R. “Bill” Kruse. They were blessed with two sons: Erik and Kent. She was the Accounts Payable Manager for Coca Cola in Wichita for several years. After Bill’s retirement they mover to Denver, Colorado where she continued to do the same job for 7-Up. When Bill passed away Ann moved to Haviland and worked as Head of Housekeeping for Barclay College until her health began to fail. In 2014 Ann went to live with Erik and Jolene in Flagstaff, Arizona, then in 2016 moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be near Kent and Sue. Ann was a member of the Denver Valley View Christian Church. She is survived by her sons Erik (Jolene), Flagstaff, Arizona, and Kent (Sue), Lincoln, Nebraska, nine Grandchildren: William, Victoria, Dillon, Joseph, Peregrine, Erik, Brandy, and Kyle, two Great-grandchildren: Anatastia and Dakota, and her sister Elaine Worden, Haviland, Kansas and other relatives and friends. Graveside Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Haviland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Barclay College, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, Kansas 67054-0041.
