Greensburg- Charlotte Marvene Martin, 89, died November 10, 2021, in Hilltop Manor, Cunningham, Kansas. She was born April 3, 1932, in Chautauqua County, Kansas, the daughter of John C. and Goldie Edith (Hughes) Adolph. Marvene had lived in Independence, Plains and Greensburg, Kansas. She had been a Fry Cook at C.R.’s Dairy Delite in Greensburg many years. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Greensburg Mennonite Church both of Greensburg. On December 5, 1948, Marvene married Harrison Ray Martin in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death October 31, 2010. She is survived by one daughter Barbara Conaway, Republic, Missouri, one brother John Adolph, Jr. and wife Carol, Cheney, Kansas eleven Grandchildren, thirty Great-grandchildren and four Great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by one son Daniel L. Martin, two daughters Sandra Miller and Debra Klein, four brothers Shobe Hughes, Leroy, Stanley and Floyd Adolph, a sister Colleen Schiffner and a granddaughter Daisy Martin. Funeral Services and Celebration of Marvene’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church with Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
