Donald J. Baer

Fort Dodge- Donald J. Baer, 78, died March 7, 2016 at the Kansas Soldier’s Home, Ft Dodge, Kansas. He was born January 5, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Dorsey and Vera (Heinze) Baer. Donald served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Donald worked for Beechcraft in Wichita, Kansas. He had lived in California, Wichita, Greensburg and Dodge City. Donald is survived by a son Timothy Baer, former daughter-in-law and caregiver Marvetta Rickman and two Grandchildren Keaton and Kayla Baer. Cremation has occurred. There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorials are suggested to Donald Baer’s Grandchildrens’ education fund in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas 67054.
