Greensburg- Douglas Kent Belcher, 63, died August 5, 2014 in St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 9, 1950 in Pratt, Kansas, the son of Charles Lloyd and Masel Charlene (Headrick) Belcher. A lifetime resident of Greensburg, Doug was a farmer and helped his father with a trash route in the 60’s and 70’s. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1968 and attended two semesters at Friends University in Haviland, Kansas. Doug was a member of the Greensburg Christian Church, the Triangle Rodeo Club, the Kiowa County Historical Society and Kiowa County Senior Center, all of Greensburg. He is survived by an uncle Dean and wife Gloria Belcher, Pratt, Kansas, cousins Robbie Griffiths and husband Scott, Long Island, Kansas, and their son Henry Griffiths, Rita Winter and husband J. Alan, Cheney, Kansas, and their daughters Amanda Mische and Becky Cagle, and many aunts, uncles and cousins on the Headrick side of the family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services and celebration of Doug’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday August 8, 2014, at the Greensburg Christian Church with Rev. Carl Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. A visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday with the family present 4-5.
