Greensburg- Dwight D. “Punk” Ricketts, 57, died February 1, 2013 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born July 20, 1955 in Greensburg, Kansas, the son of Bill Lee and Alma Sue (Dennis) Ricketts. Punk graduated from Greensburg High School. He had lived in Greensburg and Wichita. He was a truck driver and mechanic employed by Heft and Sons Sand and Gravel. Punk served in the U.S. Marines during the Viet Nam Era. He is survived by one son Brandon Ricketts, and girlfriend Dina Morford, one daughter Amanda Gilchrist and husband Brandon, three grandchildren Jordan Smith, Brooklyn and Aubree Gilchrist, two brothers Richard “Skeet” and wife Jana Ricketts, and Joe Ricketts, a sister Sue Hilgardner and husband Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Terry Ricketts and his wife Patty Ricketts. Memorial Services and celebration of Punk’s life will be held 3:00 p.m., February 9, 2013, at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Dwight “Punk” Ricketts Final Expense Fund in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
