Harry Lee Koehn

d. November 6, 2021

Greensburg-Harry Lee Koehn, 74, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2021, while farming near Greensburg. A lifelong resident of Greensburg, Harry was born December 18, 1946, to Virgil and Lois Koehn. He was an active member of Greensburg Mennonite Church, the Kiowa County Senior Center, Care & Share and was involved in many other community activities and organizations in Kiowa County. After graduating from Greensburg High School, Harry attended Bethel College in Newton, KS. While there he met Linette Flaming of Goessel. They were married November 9, 1969. Their first years of marriage were spent in Houston, Texas for 1-W service. After completion of that they made their forever home in rural Greensburg at the farm they both loved. They had three daughters, Carmen Renee Selzer (Todd Selzer), Ashley Evonne Reddout (Jeremy Reddout), Dana Ann Koehn, and two granddaughters Robyn Jade Ruelas (Chance Ruelas) and Adrienne Dawn Selzer. Harry enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, and ranching. He was a quiet man who loved his girls – he was outnumbered from day one! He was always willing to help them whenever they called, anything from building dog pens and plant shelves to repairing mowers. He held a special place in his heart for his two granddaughters and would travel any distance to watch them run cross country or track. He also loved his dog Dusty, he was his constant companion. Since the passing of his beloved wife, he spent many hours helping in any capacity at the Kiowa County Senior Center and Care & Share. He developed great friendships with many people at the Senior Center and especially enjoyed weekly domino games. Harry was preceded in death by his wife Linette I. Koehn, his father Virgil H. Koehn, and mother Lois M. Koehn. He is survived by his three daughters and two granddaughters. Also, his three sisters, Beverly Seyfert, Shirley Unruh (Paul), Norma LaJudice, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Greensburg Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Kiowa County Senior Center and the Greensburg Mennonite Church, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.
