Jack Harvey Price

Mullinville- Jack Harvey Price, 82, died January 29, 2019 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. He was born April 21, 1936, north of Mullinville, to Harold Lee and Vergie Maxine (Stein) Price. A lifetime rural Mullinville resident, Jack graduated from Mullinville High School in 1954. That same year he married Leree Howell, farmed and started raising his family. He worked at the Equity Exchange Elevator, the Mullinville Co-op station and farmed. Jack served on the school board at USD 424 for many years, and was active in Kiowa County 4-H. Later he drove a semi-truck across the country, driving for BJ Manufacturing and Emco Manufacturing. He continued farming and ranching until he retired in 2002. Jack and Leree divorced in 1981. On October 10, 1982 Jack married Glenys Mae (Sattler) Zimmerman in Mullinville. She survives. Other survivors include four sons Mike and wife Marta Price, Mullinville, Conway and wife Marcy Price, Ensign, Kansas, Greg and wife Wanda Price, Mullinville, Quentin and wife Barbie Price, Beaumont, Texas, four daughters Twyla Hadley, Dodge City, Kansas, Natalie Garcia, Rosanky, Texas, Teresa Moyer, Aurora, Colorado, Cynthia Osborn and husband Doug, Bennett, Colorado, two brothers Walter and wife Kay Price and Virgil Price all of Dodge City, four sisters Reta Johnson and husband Lowell, Sioux City, Iowa, Ramona Blalock, Arp, Texas, Rebecca McFadden, Mullinville, Clara Brown and husband Al, San Jose, California, twenty-six Grandchildren, Brad Zaiyd Yamson, Inday Metzger (Chris), Jovlyn Price (May), Alexandra Stinemetze (Sean), Chantel Cruz, Joshua Hadley, Twylen Surface (Allen), Brian Price, Amy Doering (Greg), Matthew Price (Heather), Jenny Schriner (Mark), Monique Saulsbury (Kenny), Logan Price (Randi), Levi Price (Danielle), Justyna Price, Jacinda Tuck (Bobbie), Jana Price, Jordan Warren (Jesse), Angella Kilbourn, Sharon McQueen (Tim), Phillip Porsch, Travis Moyer, Jeremy Moyer, Amber Moyer, Brianna Osborn and Jacob Osborn, thirty-five Great-grandchildren, and one Great-great- grandchild. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry Price, a daughter Jackie Price and a Great-grandson Brent Kilbourn. Funeral services and celebration of Jack’s life will be held 2:30 Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Mullinville United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Fillmore presiding. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville. A visitation will be held 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Saturday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
