Janice Marie Fulbright

Greensburg – Janice Marie Fulbright, 86, died March 18, 2025, at The Mapleton Assisted Living Center, Andover, Kansas. She was born October 28, 1938, in Seiling, Oklahoma to Leslie Martin and Florence Thelma (Louthan) Paris. Janice graduated high school in Oklahoma and earned an associate degree at Friends Bible College, Haviland, Kansas. She worked as a mail carrier at the Greensburg Post Office for many years while also working part-time in patient services at the Kiowa County Hospital. Janice was the Postmaster at Haviland and proudly retired after 17 years of service. After retirement she did missionary work in Brownsville, Texas and Mexico. She helped build homes and schools for the less fortunate with her dear friend Rosie Gonzalez. Janice had lived in Chester, Oklahoma, Greensburg, Pratt, Derby and Andover, Kansas. She was a member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church. On October 1, 1960, Janice married Keith L. Fulbright in Seiling. He preceded her in death November 4, 2001. Janice will be remembered by her family and friends for her incredible chicken and noodles (with mashed potatoes, of course) and unwavering devotion and love for her Lord. She is survived by two sons Larry Fulbright (Staci), Sterling, Kansas, Gary Fulbright (Lisa), Derby, Kansas, Sheri Kempker (Rick), Jefferson City, Missouri, Brenda Osborne (Eddie), Haviland, twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one brother James Paris (Ricky), Chester, Oklahoma, one sister Margaret Mendenhall, Guymon, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Julie Paris and brother-in-law Charlie Mendenhall. Funeral Services and Celebration of Janice’s life will be 2:30 pm Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Lighthouse Worship Center, Greensburg with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn and Pastor Dave Vernon presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
