Jeanetta A. Dargel

Bucklin- Jeanetta A. Dargel, 85, died December 21, 2013 at Hill Top House, Bucklin, Kansas. She was born November 14, 1928 in Sitka, Kansas, the daughter of John M. and Adolphina S. (Wassinger) Stegman. Jeanetta graduated from Ashland High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a nursing home administrator. She had lived in Ashland, Greensburg and Bucklin, Kansas. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Big Well Campers Club, both of Greensburg. On May 28, 1946 Jeanetta married Vernon Dargel in Ashland, He preceded her in death October 28, 2004. She is survived by a son Steven Dargel and companion Wendy Monroe, Greensburg, two daughters Karren Couch and husband Stephen, Houston, Texas and Tamara S. Sigler and husband Frank, Seattle, Washington, a sister Gladys Christenson, six Grandchildren and thirteen Great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Hubert, LeRoy and Jerome Stegman and two sisters Louise Schneider and Sylvia Delores (Stegman) Dargel. Rite of Committal and celebration of Jeanetta’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greensburg with Ellen Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Viewing will be at the church from noon to service time. Memorials are suggested to South Wind Hospice House and the Kiowa County Senior Center, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
