Judith I. Schoenberger

Greensburg- Judith Irene Schoenberger, 65, died September 5, 2013 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. Judy was born September 18, 1947 in Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Edward and Pauline Helen (Dye) Sherrod. She was a Teacher and Librarian and later served as Deputy Register of Deeds for Kiowa County. Judy graduated from Goodland High School in 1965 and Fort Hays State University in 1972. She had lived in Goodland, Oakley, Victoria and Greensburg since 1972. On August 30, 1969, Judy married Edward Schoenberger in Goodland. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters Heather Augustine and husband Shawn , Manhattan, Kansas, and Rachel Ryan and husband Brad , Hutchinson, Kansas, one brother Lloyd and wife Judy Sherrod, Panhandle, Texas, two sisters Mary Leber and husband Gene, Phoenix, Arizona, and Loretta Stukey and husband Mark, Admire, Kansas, six Grandchildren, Emily and Cameron Augustine and Claire, Tommy, Xavier and Max Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Howard and Cecil Sherrod. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt, Kansas with Fr. Floyd McKinney officiating. Private family inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. A visitation will be held 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg.
