Mullinville – Larry Richard Aldrich, 68, died September 2, 2024, at his home near Mullinville, Kansas. He was born April 11, 1956, in Greensburg, Kansas, the son of Lawrence Richard and Marvena (Price) Aldrich. A lifetime Mullinville resident, Larry graduated from Mullinville High School in 1974 and completed Auto Vo-Tech. He was a Volunteer Fireman, Auto Repairman, and worked in Maintenance at Hilltop House. He attended the Church of Christ, Mullinville and recently the Greensburg Mennonite Church. On March 27, 1976, Larry married Kristine Lake in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include one son Brandon Aldrich and wife June of Houston, Texas. One daughter Julie Wegner and husband Toby of Omaha, Nebraska. Five Grandchildren: Nathan, Breanna, David, Ona and Ellie, a brother-in-law Rusty Lake, two sisters-in-law Pamela Crosby and Debbie Reynolds and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna Shelton, his mother-in-law Ella Lake and brother-in-law Gary Lake. Funeral services and celebration of Larry’s life will be 10:30 am Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Greensburg, Mennonite Church with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg. Memorials are suggested to the Kiowa County Fire Department – Mullinville, the Greensburg Mennonite Church, and the Hill Top House, Bucklin, Kansas all in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S.
