Lloyd Lee Ballard

Haviland- Lloyd Lee Ballard, 97, died March 13, 2025, at Home Again Senior Living, Haviland, Kansas. He was born June 25, 1927, near Haviland, the son of Oren Wiley and Blanche Floy (Cosand) Ballard. Lloyd graduated from Haviland High School in 1945. He was a lifetime Haviland resident and a farmer. Lloyd had been a member of the Haviland Friends Church and then the Haviland United Methodist Church. He served on the USD 474 Haviland School Board. On November 17, 1946, Lloyd married Ruth Irene Carson in Haviland. She preceded him in death March 7, 2019. He is survived by four sons Larry Ballard (Barbara), Chris Ballard (Liz), Neal Ballard, Karl Ballard (Linda), one daughter Jan Ballard, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded by three brothers, Gail, Vic and James Ballard. Graveside services and a celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025, in Haviland Cemetery, Haviland. Viewing before the service 2:00-2:30 at the cemetery. A time of fellowship and sharing will follow the service at the Haviland Friends Youth Room, Haviland.
