Meridian, Texas-Marjorie Marie Riley, 85, of Meridian, Texas, died August 21, 2014 in Whitney, Texas. She was born June 9, 1929 in rural Kiowa County, Kansas, a daughter of Edward L. and Ruth (Bailey) Olinger. Marjorie had lived in various parts of Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, California, and Texas. Survivors include her children: Ruthie Bird, Los Angeles, California, Kristianna Toman, Meridian, Texas, Marshall Pelot, Platte City, Missouri, and Clay Pelot, New Mexico; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Salmans and husband, Bill, Meridian, Texas and Barbara Newbill, Kingman, Arizona, two brothers Willard Olinger and wife, Betty, Greensburg, Kansas, and Nelson Olinger and wife, Letha, Independence, Kansas, numerous nephews, and nieces, and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kansas with Pastor Willard Olinger officiating.
