Melvin Ronnie “Ron” Harding

Mullinville – Melvin Ronnie “Ron” Harding, 74, died June 23 at his home in Mullinville, Kansas. He was born December 24, 1940 in Marion, Kansas to Melvin Ray and Velva June (McIntosh) Harding. He was a life-long machinist in the farming industry. On September 27, 1959, Ron married Vesta Davis in Greensburg, Kansas. He lived in Marion, Haviland, Greensburg and then Mullinville for 51 years. He graduated from Haviland High School in 1958 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg. Ron loved dirt track racing. Ron is survived by his wife, Vesta of the home; three daughters, Loujean Hadley of Newton ; Jackie Rice of Cordele, GA; and Sherrie Misak of Coldwater; one brother, Warren of Wineumuca, Nevada; one sister, Shirley Donley of Mooreland, OK; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, June 26 at the Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kansas with Pastor Marvin George presiding.
