Greensburg- Mildred Annetta Unruh, 96, died June 10, 2021 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. She was born January 17, 1925 in Rooks County, Kansas the daughter of Lester Asa and Cloa Bell (Cooper) Rubottom. Mildred graduated from Woodston High School in 1941 and earned a Teaching certificate from Fort Hays State University. She was a farm wife, had been manager of the Pleasant View Motel, Greensburg and worked at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital in Housekeeping and Dietary Departments. Mildred had lived in Woodston, Kansas, Wolsey, South Dakota and Greensburg. Her memberships included the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg – past president of UMW, the National Grange, KCMH Auxiliary – past president, Cannonball Golf Club and was a 4-H leader. On September 25, 1945, Mildred married Vernie Unruh in Rooks County. He preceded her in death July 5, 1989. Survivors include three sons Arlo Unruh and wife Jody, Jeryl Unruh and wife Dianne, Kim Unruh and wife Deanna, a daughter Sandra and husband Charles Jungemann. Nine Grandchildren Traci Lang and husband Chad, Michael Jungemann and wife Connie, Jason Unruh and wife Jen, Amy Unruh, Bryan Unruh and wife Lisa, Lisa Parsons and husband Spencer, Latisha Woellhof and husband Chris, Sarah Unruh and Nathan Unruh, seventeen Great-grandchildren and two Great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by two brothers Norman and Gordon Rubottom and a sister Margueite Shepard. Funeral services and celebration of Mildred’s life will be held 10:30 am Wednesday June 16, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg with Pastor Chu Chang presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg. Memorials are suggested to the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital and the First United Methodist Church both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.
