Peggy R. Schmidt

Peggy R. (Rhodes) Schmidt was born June 6, 1930 to Ray and Johnnie Rhodes in rural Oklahoma. She died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Reflection Living, Hutchinson, Kansas. Peggy and her husband Fred met at church in Greensburg, Kansas and were married January 14, 1951. She is survived by her husband Freddie, daughter, Shelly (David) Chaudoin of Locust Grove, OK; one grandson Evan and one granddaughter Sarah Beth (Aaron) Smith and two great-grandchildren; a brother Lowrey (Jean) Rhodes and sister Jimi (Joe) Sutter. Memorial Services and celebration of Peggy’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg with Pastor Luke Helmuth presiding. Burial has taken place in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Memorials are suggested to Mennonite Central Committee and Encompass Cares Foundation, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, Kansas 67054.
