Haviland- Shirley Lorine Jantz, 85, died December 18, 2016 at Home Again Senior Living, Haviland, Kansas. She was born December 25, 1930 in Bayport, Michigan, the daughter of Sherman and Laura Mae (Kipfer) Maust. Shirley graduated from Beulah Academy, Upland, California and attended Hesston College. She was a ranch wife and homemaker. She had lived in Michigan, California, Colorado and rural Haviland, Kansas. She was a member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg, Kansas. On November 20, 1951 Shirley married Dewayne Jantz in Upland, California. He survives. Other survivors include a son Marvin Jantz and wife Patty, Haviland, two daughters Cynthia Neufeld, and husband Dan, Quinlan, Texas and Coleen Chartier and husband Larry, Coats, Kansas, two brothers Willard Maust and wife Darlene, Upland, California and Dennis and wife Lucy, Ontario, California, ten Grandchildren, Shaunna Chartier, Shanna Jo McCullough and husband Jake, Dustin Chartier and wife Tianna, Garrett Jantz and wife Samantha, Brenden Jantz and wife Reagan, Delaina and Weston Jantz, Christopher and wife Anna Neufeld, Anthony and Darren Neufeld, ten Great-grandchildren, Sheldon, Rydon and Kaylon Thatcher, Ty, Tresten and Taysleigh McCullough, Broden and Briggs Chartier, Charlie and Cooper Jantz, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ronald Maust, and a daughter-in-law Tami Jantz. Funeral Services and Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding. Burial will follow in Soldier Creek Cemetery, Belvidere, Kansas. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Greensburg Mennonite Church in care of Fleener Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Greensburg, Kansas 67054-0041.
