Greensburg- Susan Marie Freeman, 72, died September 5, 2022 at her home in Greensburg, Kansas. She was born September 25, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of John and Helen McEwen. Susan graduated from Wichita North High School in 1967 and earned a B.S. degree in Teaching from Emporia State University. She had lived in Wichita and Greensburg since 1985. Susan married Dennis Horn. They moved to Greensburg and she helped him operate Performance Auto parts store. She married Bill Freeman October 24, 2009. He preceded her in death August 13, 2016. She retired from the Kiowa County Sherriff’s Office where she had been the secretary to several Sherriffs. Susan is survived by a son Eric Horn, Greensburg, step-daughters Jateice Vieux and husband Morgan, Meade, Kansas, Jennifer Janssen and husband Patrick, Kinsley, Kansas, a sister Sharon O’Conner, six Grandchildren, Ryker and Aveta Vieux, Adele Janssen, Rayanna, Zoe and Armani Gonzales and their mother Ashley Gonzales. Memorial services and celebration of Susan’s life will be held 10:30 am Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn officiating. Private Family inurnment will follow in Ford Cemetery, Ford, Kansas. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 Sunday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
