Wesley Lee Jantz

Haviland- Wesley Lee Jantz, 75, died October 30, 2020 at his home in Haviland, Kansas. He was born June 14, 1945 in Margie, Minnesota the son of Wesley Edwin and Evelyn Mae (Ratzlaff) Jantz. Wesley graduated from Greensburg High School, Greensburg, Kansas in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Wes had lived in Greensburg and Haviland. He was the city superintendent at Haviland. He was a member of the Haviland United Methodist Church. On March 15, 1968 Wesley married Marilyn Gifford in Haviland. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Lee Jantz, Cimarron, Kansas and Craig Jantz, Haviland, one daughter Stacey Hosheit, Greensburg, nine Grandchildren, Clemmie, Sadie, Zoey Jantz, Gage and Alli Hosheit, Sydney Jantz, Briannia, Kayla and Dontae Washington, four Great-grandchildren, three brothers Jerry and wife Jennie Jantz, Johnny and wife Angelika Jantz, Dennis and wife Marilyn Jantz, two sisters Esther Robinson and Ann Gardner and husband Earl. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Ed, Richard, Bobby and Rudy Jantz a son-in-law Brandon Hosheit and a great-grandson Kayson Hosheit. Funeral services and celebration of Wesley’s life will be held 10:30 Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Haviland United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Fillmore presiding. Burial will follow in Haviland Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2020 at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
